Manon, Sandip and Reya – Family Session -Lake Nona, Florida

So, I cant express how good it felt to have a camera back in my hands recently. Aside from some personal work, Austin and I haven’t been shooting much because we have had some big life updates with our other job. Sometimes I forget how much I love this, but I’m so glad Manon reached out to me about shooting her family session for the holidays. Now, it didn’t really feel like a holiday shoot because its 80 degrees here in Florida, but we got lucky with some background colors that made it look like it was actually fall in some of the photos. So, it made things a little easier jumping back in with this gorgeous family, and I really cannot get enough of their little girl Reya. Not only is she one of the cutest little girls, but she is sweet and girly and her little laugh makes me laugh. We shot these photos right in their beautiful neighborhood in Lake Nona which is part of Southeast Orlando, FL. We had a great time shooting with them, and it makes me miss photography so you might be seeing some more posts from me soon enough.

Amy and Shane- Married – The Arts Ballroom Philadelphia, PA

This summer while we were having a few drinks on the dock in Avalon, Amy said to me “Your still going to shoot my wedding right?”… Of course Austin and I were already planning on this wedding and we were already brainstorming ideas for a winter wedding near the holidays. We had been looking forward to this wedding because I knew how happy Amy has been since she met Shane. It felt like a blink of the eye from the summer when we were sitting and talking about the wedding and future plans to the day of the wedding. Up until that day, the weather had been fairly neutral for December, but on their wedding day it was incredibly cold and they still braved it out for some gorgeous pics. Amy and Shane read letters that they had written to each other before their first look which we shot on their rooftop balcony in Philadelphia. The bridal party were such good sports about the cold as well, and it was so worth it for the shots we were able to get in some sunset light. Because the sun goes down so early in December, we were able to do some nighttime shots which is always fun for Austin and I to be able to get creative with the lighting while capturing some great moments. Everything went perfect that day, and Amy and Shane sure know how to throw a party. Its been a while since we have had a dance floor that was that packed, but as soon as the dancefloor opened it was packed until the very last song of the night. The last song “All I want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey was the perfect way to end such a great day right before the holidays. Thank you to Amy and Shane for choosing us to be part of your amazing day! We look forward to the next chapter!

Meredith and Matt- Married Lumberton, NJ and Collingswood Ballroom

So, Its been a long time since I cried at a wedding while I was shooting it. I normally have my game face on and I’m thinking about the lighting and catching the right moments, and all kinds of technical photography stuff running through my brain. But, every once in a while there is a point that makes me realize that not only do I love photographing weddings, but that I am genuinely invested in these couples for who they are. Leave it to two of my previous brides who happen to be sisters, and the cousins of the bride, to give one of the best bridesmaid speeches I have ever witnessed. It makes me happy to have been part of their weddings, know their families, and to now shoot Meredith and Matt’s wedding. We knew that shooting Meredith and Matt was going to be great, and we were right. The ceremony was held in Lumberton, NJ and the reception followed at the Collingswood Ballroom. Right in between the ceremony and reception was a quick thunderstorm that passed through but it definitely didn’t put a damper on this party. Meredith and Matt did a spotlight dance, and I have so many favorite shots from the dance that I had to put a bunch in this blog post. I am so grateful that we were able to be part of their day.

Meredith and Matt – Engaged Historic Smithville Park Mount Holly, NJ

Beautiful scenery, a fun couple, and one awesome pair of pants. That about sums up this session, and we spent most of the time laughing. I met Meredith a few years ago at her cousin’s wedding, and we are so excited for Meredith and Matt’s wedding this upcoming summer. We shot these photos a while back before it got cold, and I’m excited to finally share them. This session was so much fun to shoot, and we didn’t even feel like we were working. The Historic Smithville Park in Mount Holly, NJ was the perfect place for an engagement session. I hope that these make you smile!

Kailene and Brandon- Married Moorestown, NJ

I’ve thought about what I was going to write on this post for a while now because I could go on and on about this wedding. Austin and I have been waiting to shoot this wedding forever, and the day did not disappoint. Kailene looked so gorgeous, and Brandon so handsome that I love every photo of the two of them together. When I was putting this slideshow together I found myself filling up even though I was there, and these were my photos. But, the one thing that gets me every time is to see how Brandon looks at Kailene. There are no words for it, but when you are around them their energy in infectious. We are so lucky to call them our friends, and we are grateful for the fun times we have had with them and their family. We are looking forward to spending plenty more time with these two, and with that crowd we know its always going to be a good time. The wedding was perfect. Kailene put so much attention into making all the details come together so perfectly and create the wedding they dreamed of. I thought there was a chance I would cry at this wedding, and I figured it would be during the vows or the first dance. I wasn’t however expecting it to also be when her father saw her in her dress, or when he gave a speech about them at the reception. This is one wedding that I am so glad to look back on and know that we were there to capture it. I hope you love the photos!
