Nicole and Andy- Married Tendenza Philadelphia, PA

Ever since I have known Nicole and her family (which is about 15 years), they have always had great style and this wedding was no different. Everything from Nicole’s dress, the flowers, the ceremony and reception locations, as well as the décor was perfection. There were so many amazing things about this day that I could go on and on, but I loved everything that Nicole and Andy chose to celebrate their day. Nicole has a smile that lights up the room, and she didn’t stop smiling all day. I love when a couple just has an amazing time on their wedding day and enjoys every moment of the day. We started off the day in Old City Philadelphia where we did their first look and some bridal party pictures, and then went to the ceremony which was held at Christ Church in Philadelphia which was founded in 1695. There is something about having a wedding in an old beautiful church that you can’t get elsewhere or put into words. One of my favorite photos of the day was as Nicole was heading down the aisle, the look on Andy’s face was of pure happiness. That moment inside of that gorgeous church was like something from a movie. The reception was held at Tendenza in Northern Liberties, and it was such a great venue. The staff at Tendenza was some of the best I have ever seen, because I love how well they took care of the bride and groom. I am so glad that Nicole and Andy chose us to be their wedding photographers. There are a lot of images in this blog post because I have so many favorites and I hope that you love every image!

Jennifer and Vincent- Married, Brigalias Sicklerville, NJ

When I look back on a wedding (usually it starts on the ride home that night) I always think about what was my favorite thing about the wedding. This wedding is easy because I know exactly what my favorite thing was. My favorite thing about this wedding was the way that Jenn and Vinny love each other. I saw it in the way they looked at each other, the way they talked about the other, the way that they smiled, and how when they were together on their wedding day it was as if the rest of the world had disappeared and it was just them. So, before I get to everything else about the wedding day this brings me also to my favorite photo. This photo was actually a surprise to me because it was supposed to be a test shot. When we were setting up the bridal party for their formal photo, I took a few test shots to make sure I had my lighting set up the way I wanted. But, amongst the chaos going on around them with Austin setting everyone up was the most sincere, special moment. I may have been the only person to notice it, but I’m glad I did because it is hands down my favorite shot of the day because it was real… and I believe this shows exactly that love I was talking about that they share.

So, as far as the rest of the wedding goes… it was amazing. Both the ceremony and reception were held at Brigalias in Sicklerville, NJ. Brigalias is such a great wedding venue, and it was a great choice for this wedding. Since this was a December wedding, it was terribly cold out, but the bride and groom along with their bridal party braved the cold to get some fun outdoor photos. Both Jenn and Vinny’s families as well as their bridal party were so much fun to be around. We felt like we had known them for a lot longer. We are so glad that Jenn and Vinny selected us to be a part of their wedding day. I hope you guys had a great time on the honeymoon!

Tthe pictures are breathtaking…thank you for preserving my daughter’s wedding day with these gorgeous pictures …mother of the bride!

Katie and Ronnie- Married Mullica Hill, NJ

One of the biggest things that Austin and I pride ourselves on as part of this business is trying to be as unobtrusive as possible during the ceremony. We want the wedding guests to be paying attention to the bride and groom and not distracted by the photographers running around. So as usual, for the entire ceremony we stayed out of the way and remained as quiet as possible. Then, it was time for Katie and Ronnie to give the flowers to Mary in the back corner of the church. It was quiet, and all you could hear was the Ave Maria playing. I snuck around to get a quick shot of them, and as I was leaving the I lifted the cameras up so that they wouldn’t clang against the pew. Well, apparently when I lifted the cameras one of the clips came detached and my camera went soaring across the aisle and ba-bam! It was so loud when it hit the floor.. Of all moments for this to happen, it had to be then! Anyways, Katie and Ronnie laughed it off, and the rest of the day went off without a hitch. Katie and Ronnie gave us plenty of time in between the ceremony and reception to take some fun photos with the bridal party and then get some great stuff of just the two of them. I love when a couple gives us enough time to create beautiful portraits for them! The best part was that we went back to Ronnie’s family’s house where we shot their e-session for the portraits. This wedding was so much fun to shoot. I hope you guys had an amazing time on your honeymoon. Can’t wait to hear about it!

Kailene and Brandon -Engaged

The very first time we met Kailene and Brandon was on the 4th of July in 2012, and I remember thinking how cute they were together then. Since then, we have gotten a few dancing pictures of them together when we were shooting Chrissy and AJ and Donelle and Garrett’s weddings. I remember Austin and I sitting at the computer after a wedding uploading dancing photos and we were talking about the chemistry between Kailene and Brandon. We also had the conversation “I hope they pick us to be their wedding photographers when they get engaged”…. because we knew it was only a matter of time before that happened. When Brandon finally got down on one knee with a ring, I got a text the next day. Not only were we excited for them to be engaged, but we were ecstatic that we would be shooting their engagement and wedding photos. Austin and I have also been fortunate enough to meet and spend time with Kailene’s awesome family, so we know this wedding is going to be amazing. For these engagement photos, we actually took them in their friend’s backyard down in Hammonton, NJ.. Kailene and Brandon were so much fun to shoot, and even though we were racing against the sun going down, it was one of the best engagement shoots we have ever had. Together, Kailene and Brandon have inspired me as a photographer and I can’t wait until June for the wedding!
