Client Meeting Room- In the works

Ok, So back in January you may have read This Post where I talked about the new client meeting room that we are putting in our house. The room is just going to be a little place for us to sit and talk and look at some samples. I’m so excited about it. Well, we have slowly been working on the room, so I figured it would be a good time to post some pictures of the progression. We started from scratch by ripping down the walls. It is rewarding to do the work ourselves, although Austin’s dad helped us out with the drywall and electrical which was great, so that we didnt have any hospital trips trying to do the electric stuff ourselves. We are finally getting to the fun stuff, but I really cant wait till the decorating starts…

scary stuff huh?

The new walls!

The old door was like a bedroom door, but because this door goes out to the garage we replaced it with a nice new steel door

Lola likes the new walls

I forgot to take a picture of the worst part of the process (spackle and sanding) so here is the room after we painted the ceiling and primed the walls

Ok, so here is what the room looks like so far.. one coat of paint, one to go, then we will be putting the molding and chair rail up, adding the vent and light fixtures, and then the floor… lots to do…

That looks great so far. Lots of work here, remodel, school, work, and of course, p90x. Busy busy….

A cold blustery shoot

Austin and I went out with some photographers for a nighttime shoot over in Philly. It was so incredibly cold and windy. I felt so bad for the models in their dresses, because I was cold and I was all bundled up. We shot at 2 locations with a quick warm up in between at Swanky Bubbles. Its always nice just to get together with some friends both old and new.

I love the new photos!! Especially the 1st and last ones!

Jim and Tisha– Part 1

This shoot with Jim and Tisha was so much fun and we aren’t even done yet. We had a few different locations planned for Tisha and Jim’s photos, and we didn’t make it to one of them. So, keep checking back in the next few weeks to see part 2 of the shoot, which I’m very excited about. Anyways, We had so much fun shooting with them last Saturday. They completely obliged to any crazy idea Austin and I had. And now… onto the pics…

We started off at the railroad tracks…

I just Love it

Happy Valentines Day!

I love Valentines day, and thats because I’m a sappy kind of girl that loves LOVE. This is why I love photographing weddings and couples. I love it when a couple looks at each other in a manner that allows me to see the way that they feel about each other.

So, for this valentines day, we had quite a busy day. We started off the day with a really fun shoot with Tisha and Jim (photos to come this week) and then Austin and I put together some homemade gifts for our moms and my sister. Since candy and cards is what everyone else does, we decided to create some fruit arrangements. Yes, we actually made these! It was so much fun, but sure was a lot of work. My mom loved her arrangement so it was totally worth the time and effort to do something special.

Philly Shoot with some friends

I had a different shoot planned for Saturday with Tisha and Jim, but unfortunately Tisha got food poisoning and we had to postpone. So, at the last minute I went along with some other photographers to Fishtown Philadelphia for a model shoot taking place just for fun. The models that I worked with were Rachel and Claire. The most exciting part of this shoot was that Rachel is actually one of my June brides. It was so much fun to shoot with her, and I can’t wait for her wedding. These two girls are so gorgeous that they can’t take a bad photo. It was great to get together with some other photographers, meet some new people, and just enjoy what we love to do!
